Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting with Chelsea Wolf and The Bowmanville Older Adult Association at their last luncheon of the year where we were also entertained by the local BOAA Theatre group.   This is a great organization that promotes the health and happiness of our elderly population (55 and up).

As our citizens age and we see it continue to be the largest demographic Canada-wide, it was nice to see an organization that directly addresses the specific needs of our older generation.

About Bowmanville Older Adult Association

The Bowmanville Older Adult Association is a new, federally incorporated non-profit organization that offers social, active and educational programs to older adults in Clarington.

Mission Statement

To promote the health and happiness of older adults by providing opportunities to enhance their quality of life.

We observed a real sense of community.

Everyone was very friendly, and there was no shortage of camaraderie between members, volunteers and staff.

We even had a visit by the Hon. Erin O’Toole, who was raised in Bowmanville

We are excited to be working with the BOAA, and will be sharing details as we move forward.
